INSIDE THE GREENHOUSE | Re-telling climate change stories

Sol-Her Energ-He

An Inside the Greenhouse production

Inside the Greenhouse brings its production of Sol-Her Energ-He- youth-sparked participatory climate communication— to New York City on Oct. 24th 2015 for the Urban Thinkers Campus event The City We Need.  Here experts on urban planning for resilience and other stake holders witnessed the power of the arts to convey the story of how our energy use has begun to impact climate and, more importantly, how youth can author their own solutions towards resilience through the arts.  We partnered with exceptional youth from Hunter Elementary in NYC for this event under the artistic leadership of Arthur Fredric- master teacher with the National Dance Institute in NYC.  Partner organizations of The City We Need event were The New School, the Sherwood Institute, the Huairou Commission, Columbia University, the University of Pennsylvania, The Ford Foundation, the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, the International Accountability Project, the UN Major Group for Children and Youth, the Nature of Cities and the J Max Bond Center On Design For Just City.  This was one of two Urban Thinkers Campus events in the US that was building momentum for the convening of Habitat III conference that will occur in Equator in October of 2016.
